Tina Compton, Managing Partner

Tina has been organising events for over 28 years and has established numerous contacts throughout the industry as well as an excellent relationship with third party suppliers.

Her enthusiasm and passion for the events industry is second to none. Events have included, charity balls, large dinners, conferences from the first idea to the actual delivery of the event.

Tina is very hands-on and ensures that each event is delivered in a professional manner. Although she has worked in the IT industry for the last 33 years, her vast knowledge and relationships with previous colleagues has led her to being able to organise events in almost any sector.

Tina is a member of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and is also a Lady Taverner.

Tina Gallagher, Partner

Tina is an experienced event professional with over 15 years experience in the industry. Tina started her career in events at central London venues co-ordinating conferences and events for both corporate and non-corporate clients. She then joined an event catering company as a Client Liaison Manager working with London venues including Madame Tussaud’s and The London Dungeon before moving on to an event management role.

Prior to tx2events, Tina was an Events Manager at techUK, the trade association for the IT and technology sector for over 9 years. During this time she supported the Events Director in managing the associations programme of over 50 events a year which included conferences, dinners, exhibitions, roadshows and charity balls. She also managed events for their members as part of the associations event management service.

Tina has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Studies and a CIM Diploma in Marketing.

Sharon Michaels, Marketing/Project Manager

Sharon has been in the advertising, marketing, PR and exhibition industries for over 25 years and her extensive client base spans both trade and consumers. She has an excellent understanding of the requirements of varying market sectors – from fashion, charity, travel, food, wine, music, home interest to finance.

Very much a ‘hands on’ person,  with involvement and back-up for clients’ marketing and development programmes has resulted in wide ranging activities at all levels including being involved in TV commercials (from concept, script, production through to approval) and publishing with a  good all-round knowledge of production, print and photography.

Her expertise in exhibitions/events/conferences are in both trade and consumer sectors and Sharon has been involved in every step from identifying the market, advertising, PR and organisation through to maintaining after show follow-up/reaction.

Sharon also has a wide variety of contacts in the entertainments industry –, live entertainment for all kinds of functions – tribute acts and bands, sound-alikes, lookalikes, comedians, disco, celebrity acts, solos, duos, bands.  Also speciality acts, theme nights, speakers and much more.

Nicholas White, European Advisor

Mr White has held European Vice President positions in both Gartner and IDC and has Marketing Director level experience for “Client” companies across a range of technology sectors. Currently he runs CIMS, a consultancy focussed on helping clients develop their business through partnerships and appropriate Value Propositions.

He has worked in the ICT industry for some 25 years, and has direct experience of research led sales and marketing strategy, planning and implementation, sales strategy, training services and project delivery and management. He focuses primarily on software and services markets and the changes taking place between them. He has set-up and run start-up businesses in marketing software and direct selling of computer equipment, as well as managing marketing operations.

Past clients have included, IBM, SAP, Microsoft, SITA, British Telecom, and Cisco as well as a number of smaller ICT companies.

Recent assignments include:
• Developing and running commercial partner Value Proposition workshops
• Software support strategy
• Market and product analysis for ICT companies
• Competitor analysis in the telecom industry
• ICT Trade mission to Libya
• Developing practical sales and marketing recommendations for ICT Outsourcing in developing countries

He has set-up and run start-up businesses in marketing software and direct selling of computer equipment, as well as managing marketing operations.

Mr White has an MBA from Cranfield University.
